Focused on Fitness and Personal Growth
A lot my son is ADHD lacks in body confidence and doesn’t go out much since coming here he’s made friends and enjoys the exercise with children his age the coaches are encouraging and helpful too
A Safe Place for Physical and Social Development
The impact of attending has resulted in Ela becoming fitter and more confident in a fitness environment. Ela was shy and did not show an interest in press ups, sit ups etc or a gym environment as its not readily available to kids at her age however now attending ninjas she shows an keen interest in fitness, and now does all the moves round the house all the time, her attitude and behaviour towards it has changed, and she seems the enjoyment in fitness and the challenge, e.g not giving up because you cant do it first time, practise makes perfect. Ela really enjoys attending Ninjas at behind bars.
Positive Influence on Fitness and Strength
Being part of Little Ninjas gave my 3 kids a lot of confidence in themselves. It made them believe in themselves. One of my sons is autistic and struggles to engage with other people, but at Little Ninjas he loved being apart of it all, he got on really well with Liam, which is a massive thing for him. All 3 kids really enjoyed going, and gained a lot of self confidence from being there.
Confidence Boost Through Exercise
Give both my kids a lot of confidence, not only towards training but in their day to day life
Enjoying Challenges and Building Confidence
It’s a fantastic opportunity for local children to take part in exercise that’s totally different to everything else available. It builds strength and resilience which in turn builds confidence.
Improved Strength and Confidence for All
Leo has ADHD and finds it difficult to participate in activities and be sociable. However he took part in the activities and really enjoyed them.
Making Fitness Fun and Achievable
My son was going through a really tough time with school and it was affecting his mental health ( and mine ) massively! He is neurodiverse and had no outlet for his energy or emotions at all! Behind bars helped him so so much not just in a fitness aspect but behaviour and dealing with emotions.
Building Strength and Confidence in Every Session
I feel like behind bars is so important to the community and children in the community it serves. It’s providing provisions for children who without this in place would not have exposure to at all. It’s helping children from all different backgrounds access a gym environment and other children they may not normally see for school / area reasons. The time and effort that goes into putting these classes on for the children is amazing and should be recognised undoubtedly.
Life-Changing Exercise and Confidence Boost
For my kids, they now have an attitude of “let me try” which is massive. The confidence in their ability has improved.
Enjoying a Safe, Challenging Environment
It has done wonders for Harry! He really enjoys going. He was previously quiet against any sort of exercise but the encouragement from Liam has been brilliant for him.
